South Florida Sports Recap March 21-27

This past week in South Florida sports has been a little lackluster. Across 4 teams, there have been 7 games played, including 2 played today. The overall record was 5-2. Some standout players were Andrew Wiggins with Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat and Sam Bennett with Sam Reinhart of the Florida Panthers.

The Miami Marlins opening day is today, Thursday March 27, 2025. They faced the Pittsburgh Pirates and won 5-4 on a walk off run.  The Miami Heat also beat the Atlanta Hawks today. On Tuesday, the Heat faced off with the Golden State Warriors and played against former member of the Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler. The Heat gave a complete team effort to leave the Warriors with a measly 86 points and held Butler to only 11 points. They continued this trend with tonight's game. The Florida Panthers have had the past 4 days off and will return Friday, March 28th. They will play the Utah Hockey Club, a first year expansion team, to hopefully retake 1st place in the Atlantic Division.
