Miami Heat rebound from 10-game skid with five straight wins

The team’s skid included blowout losses to Memphis and New York, and multiple games in which Miami squandered early leads or failed to close out tight contests. Defensive lapses and inconsistent scoring plagued the Heat, who slid down the Eastern Conference standings.

But momentum began to shift on March 23, when the Heat snapped the losing streak with a 122-105 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Wiggins scored a season-high 42 points in that game, showing the kind of offensive upside Miami hoped to unlock when they acquired him.

Since then, the Heat have strung together wins over the Warriors, Hawks, 76ers, Wizards, and Celtics. Tyler Herro has been the driving force behind the surge, averaging over 25 points per game during the stretch and stepping into a leadership role in Butler’s absence. He dropped 36 points against Atlanta on March 27 and followed up with 30 more against Philadelphia.

Miami has also gotten solid contributions from Bam Adebayo, who remains a key anchor on both ends of the court, and from Alec Burks, who has found his rhythm coming off the bench.

The six-game win streak has moved the Heat back into the mix for a play-in spot. While there’s still ground to cover before the playoffs, the team’s recent chemistry suggests that their post-Butler identity may finally be forming.

What this means long-term remains uncertain. The Heat are still adjusting to their new roster, and they’ll need to prove this win streak isn’t a fluke as they face tougher opponents in the season’s final weeks. But for now, they’ve put the worst behind them and regained control of their season.
